The scientific advisory board provides advisory assistance in all matters that are relevant for the scientific work of the institute. The board is responsible for the current evaluation of the R&D activities of the institute.

The scientific advisory board has nine renowned scientific members from different disciplines whereby

  1. four are from universities;

  2. three are from geological surveys;

  3. two are from industry or other non-university research institutions,

and all being active in geoscientific or geoscientific-technical disciplines and having respective experience. Two scientists should be from a country outside Germany, one scientist should be from the Technical University Clausthal.

The specific tasks of the scientific advisory board are noted in the constitution of GGA Institute.
